Flowstate Profitability Dashboard
Revenue and payroll
Fee income against what the team costs, split into delivery and overhead.
Margin
Gross margin is revenue less delivery payroll. After all payroll also takes out overhead.
Every month, side by side
Profit here is gross. Overhead payroll and non-payroll costs sit below it.
Worth knowing
Read alongside the numbers above.
Where the revenue went
Every dollar of fee income, split three ways. Delivery payroll and overhead payroll add up to what you actually paid. Everything left is gross profit — before software, rent and anything else that isn't a person.
Best and worst clients
By margin. The line is the 75% target.

Delivery ratio by person
Revenue generated per dollar of delivery cost. The line is the 5.0× target.
Where each person's cost sits
Delivery cost is above the gross margin line. Overhead is below it.
Per person
Delivery % is measured from logged hours, not typed. Status judges Delivery ×.
Margin by client
The line is the 75% target. Sorted worst first.
Effective rate
Fee divided by hours worked. What you actually earned per hour.
Per client
Cost is delivery payroll attributed by share of hours. Flat-fee work lands on the client it names.
Everyone on this client
Implied hours are what the allocation buys at this client’s effective rate. Spent is dollars; logged is hours. They can disagree, and where they do is worth a look.
Hours against allocation
Committed hours come from each person's revenue share at the target ratio. Bars past 100% are work beyond what the allocation supports.
Every person on every client
"No allocation" means hours logged on a client they are not allocated to at all.
Hours logged against capacity
Anything past the line is more hours than the month contains.
Per person
Contribution is attributed revenue less full cost.
How each month was spent
Client hours earn revenue. Internal hours are real cost against none.
Internal share
This is what sets each person's delivery split. High is expected for ops and leadership.
Per person
Client cost and internal cost always add up to what they cost you.
Cost by internal project
Four projects carry all internal time.
Cost by person
Who is spending the most time on work no client pays for.
Every internal entry
A project counts as internal when it has no row on the Retainers tab.
